I could not resist painting a spectacular Hawaiian sunset with the miraculous ribbons of coral pink clouds reflected in the surf and sand. This painting has been reproduced into limited edition prints but it is in very limited supply. This is an actual historic event. The islanders used torches to light the coastline so that these ships could safely navigate into what is today the port of Lahina before darkness would force the ships out to sea.
